WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LEAD A CONNECT GROUP?

Leading a Connect Group is easy and we are here to support you. A Connect Group leader helps facilitate an environment where people feel loved, safe and that they belong. You will receive coaching and encouragement and we have a library of resources available for your use. We will help you develop a plan to succeed.

WHAT TYPES OF CONNECT GROUPS ARE THERE?

AFFINITY GROUPS

These are groups of people gathering for a common interest such as biking, hiking, knitting, or whatever the interest may be. Groups members focus on building relationships while doing something they enjoy while encouraging each other to grow in their faith.

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS

The members of these groups gather over a specific book of the Bible for a predetermined amount of time. They may use a workbook, journal or DVD. We have multiple resources available for use.

BOOK STUDY GROUPS

Individuals who choose to study a book together meet for discussion. They may meet at various times of year in multiple locations. We have a resource library available for use.

DINNER GROUPS

Dinner Groups are a fun way to enjoy building relationships. They can be as simple as setting aside a date to open your home for a potluck style meal.

MESSAGE CHAT GROUPS

These groups use the message notes from the previous Sunday's message and go deeper into discussion on the questions that were provided and the scriptures that were used.

These groups intentionally focus on relationships and not just the material. They apply the message in authentic discussion by asking, “So what does this practically mean in your family, and where you work and live? How can you apply this to your life right now?” Format provided.

NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS

Gathering together for food and fun is at the heart of Neighborhood Groups. They are located in homes or parks near the communities where members live.

S.O.A.P. GROUPS

These groups meet for the simple purpose of reflecting and sharing on their personal time with God using the Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer method. It is very easy to facilitate and helps develop Bible reading skills.
